Three doctoral students from the Dowling Lab attended the annual CISTAR meeting held last week at Purdue University from the 11th to the 13th of April, 2023. CISTAR, an NSF Engineering Research Center, aims to create innovative systems to convert light hydrocarbons into lower carbon footprint chemicals and fuels. The event marked an NSF site visit, including technical presentations, professional development activities for graduate fellows, and a poster session. The Dowling Lab presented posters on Multi-Scale Process Optimization with Embedded Microkinetic Information by Kanishka Ghosh and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from ethanol: An Integrated Systems Modeling Approach by Madelynn Watson.
